Trail Name

It is official... I have a trail name!  When asked what my trail name was today I responded, "Don't have one." I then proceed to ask "Grumpy" if he had one in mind He then responded: "see that thing you have attached on the front of your pack? That's the first one that I have seen. I guess will call you 'Front Pocket'." That's how I got my trail name.

I had a great hike today in spite of the light rain till 3. I walked in the clouds up to Mary's Rock, elevation 3300 feet. From there I walked down 1500 to route 211.  I am spending the night and will resupply for 5 more days. My plan is to be back on the  AT headed to Front Royal, VA  by 9am. I am beginning to see more and more through hikers who have made the 900 plus miles from Springer Mt., GA. Also have met 5 through hikers that started at Rock Fish gap as well. One day they are ahead of me and I meet new people the next. Enjoying the solitude while hiking during the day and company at the camp site at night. Usually in bed at 7:30 up at 6 to 6:30.  Will keep you informed via daily pictures as I can.  Also do a short GoPro video to start of day and another one in between. I will send them home once the micro chip is full and replace it with a new on.
