Heavy Frost
4.8.18
After a zero weekend in Blairsville, GA, I headed out on my own this morning. It was good to have Charlie with me for the first 3 days. I have a new phone, one that really works, and Charlie's warmer sleeping bag. I brought my lighter one because it was so warm on the trail last spring and I started in VA. I was able to go to Mass Saturday afternoon in town which was good. We got a shuttle back to the trail this morning to find an incredibly heavy frost on all the trees. About 1:00, it began to fall like snow on the ground. It is unseasonably cold here as it seems to be at home, too.

Heavy frost on a tree branch on the trail.
Then we found trail magic! BBQ potatoes, green beans, and ham!
Bless the trail angels!!!!
